The tutor's voice
When the tutor speaks, the audio is generated on our own server by open-source models, so what you hear isn't sent to a speech company. Accreditation and credentials
Artelos is not accredited by any accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. It is not a college or university and is not authorized to grant degrees.
- Artelos courses do not award academic credit. Other institutions are unlikely to accept them for transfer.
- Programs are learning paths, not degree programs. Completing one does not earn a degree, diploma or recognized certificate.
- Units, grades, grade averages, program progress and the learning record track your own learning. The learning record is not an official transcript.
- Completing Artelos courses does not qualify you for any professional license or certification.
- Artelos is not eligible for federal student aid.
No guaranteed outcomes
We don't guarantee employment, internships, interviews, salaries, admission elsewhere, or any learning result. Opportunity matches, “strengths” and readiness scores are estimates based on your activity on Artelos. They are not evaluations by an employer or school.
How course content is made and checked
Course content, including lessons, examples, interactive tools, practice questions, flashcards and tutor answers, is produced with automated tools. It is based either on curriculum text written for each course or on materials uploaded for that course. Before use, it is checked by independent automated reviews. Reports from students are checked the same way, and larger changes go to a person for review. Each course shows the date it was last checked.
These checks reduce errors but don't eliminate them. Lessons may contain mistakes. Examples are adapted to your interests, so they are illustrative, and numbers in examples may be simplified. Please report anything that looks wrong.
Not professional advice
Content about health, medicine, psychology, law, money, investing, taxes or safety is educational only. It is not professional advice. Talk to a qualified professional before making decisions in these areas.
Employers and student profiles
Employer accounts are checked before they get access, but Artelos doesn't guarantee any employer's identity, conduct, offers or pay. Fit scores and match notes are automated suggestions based on Artelos coursework and what students share. They are not evaluations, references or background checks. Skills shown in Artelos courses come from unaccredited coursework.
Practice ideas and projects
Project, kit and activity suggestions are optional and for learning. Follow the safety notes and manufacturer instructions, get supervision where appropriate, and never work with mains electricity, hazardous chemicals or anything unsafe. You're responsible for any purchases and for how you carry out a project.
Cities, housing and opportunities
Rents, costs of living, climate, safety and transit figures are rough estimates for orientation only. Housing listings, jobs, internships, volunteering and events may come from third parties. Artelos does not verify, endorse or guarantee them, and is not a landlord, broker or employer unless it clearly says so. A “Artelos hub” is a place for meetups and study, not a campus.
Example campus and demos
The example campus and personal demos use fictional students, organizations, landlords, listings, reviews and activity to show how Artelos works. They are labeled as examples. Any resemblance to real people or organizations is coincidental. Demo grades, progress and history are simulated.
Pricing
Artelos is free for students during early access. Pricing after early access hasn't been set. If we introduce paid plans, we'll announce them in advance, and you won't be charged without agreeing first.
